Friday, I’m in love with self-hatred. The background of this one is the increasing fictionalization of issues discussed, case in point and picture: the Burlington Coat Factory or as it has been referred to the “Ground Zero mosque”, despite the fact that it’s neither on “Ground Zero” nor a “mosque”. Double negative seldom work in words or just because you make two errors in one word, does not make it right. Then again if something is true of not does not really matter any more, if we perceive it as true is the key question (as least as long as story runs). So, my argument is rather futile.

So… the depression mix, well actually considering the history of Stumpfer Gegenstand and especially last years Retro, this is a rather undepressed but rather the of center and experimental mix, with the occasional slow song about killing yourself and/or others thrown in, but nowhere close to last years “Disambiguous Hiss of Sorrow”. Tomorrow we find ourselves between a Rock and the End.

Today’s title is named for the abstract 2010 frustration that nothing can be done in today’s climate. Yes, I know, I am getting old and cranky, my apologies to all who already felt that way in 1986. But it is kind of hard not to feel that legislation body become increasingly ineffective. And this is especially true for my home-country, once they actually pass stuff, it is easy to see that they can never work (referring here to Germany’s new dead-brain internet laws, which display a scary amount of ignorance).

Now the music for this… äh, well this is the Hip-Hop, House, Soul, Funk and Likewise Mix. In my feeble mind this is the music that should make up the main-stream, instead of the junk that actually does, in that utopian vision where we all listen to decent music. In other words nice, happy and shiny music and to mention her at least once, as I still feel obligated, Janelle Monáe (yes, her again).
So now that we have cranky out of the way, tomorrow we will do depression or at least Dysthymia, in the very least thyroid subfunction.
